Friday’s episode of General Hospital ended with one of the most terrifying cliffhangers in recent memory. Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) stood alone in the ICU, staring down at Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) — and he wasn’t unconscious anymore. His eyes were open. He was looking directly at her.
But the road to that final moment was paved with desperation, betrayal, dark comedy, and a guilty conscience that’s about to crack wide open.
Joss Tells Britt: “Get Cullum Before He Gets You”

It started in Britt’s office. Joss laid out the argument with a clarity that would make a prosecutor proud: Cullum held Britt’s medication hostage. He got Jason arrested by the WSB. He murdered Marco. He impersonated Faison and nearly drove Anna to a mental breakdown. He was behind the firebomb that almost killed Michael in Sonny’s penthouse.
“This is our best shot,” Joss told her. Because if Cullum wakes up, he’ll come for Britt — and for everyone else who knows what really happened on the pier.
Britt pushed back. “You, a baby WSB agent, will assassinate one of your higher-ups?” She asked Joss point-blank whether she’d ever killed anyone before. Joss’s silence was the answer. And it changed everything — because Britt decided she couldn’t let someone else risk their life for her. “I’ll take care of Cullum,” she said.
Britt Gets the Syringe — Then Lulu Walks In
Britt entered the ICU with a syringe hidden in her pocket. Cullum lay unconscious. She was seconds from injecting him when Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins) walked in, claiming to be working on a story about the pier shooting.
From there, Britt was forced into damage control. She snapped at Lulu — “He’s not taking questions at the moment” — then agreed to give her a statement outside the room, but only if Lulu promised to stay out of the ICU. While they stood in the hallway negotiating, the room was wide open.
And Joss saw her window.
“What’s a Hooker?” — Wiley Walks Into the Worst Possible Room at the Worst Possible Time

While murder was being plotted at GH, the Quartermaine kitchen delivered the comic relief nobody asked for — and everyone needed.
Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) approached Michael (Rory Gibson) with a half-apology about the family’s treatment of Jacinda (Paige Herschell). But she couldn’t resist adding: “He can’t change the fact that Jacinda was a hooker!”
She had no idea Wiley (Viron Weaver) was listening from the doorway. And there it was — the scene that broke the internet. Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Chase (Josh Swickard) were in the foyer with their social worker, Sarah, when Wiley ran in and asked: “Hey, Brook Lynn, what’s a hooker?”
The look on Brook Lynn’s face. Chase’s jaw hitting the floor. Sarah’s pen freezing mid-note. It was perfection — and it might have just destroyed their chances of fostering Baby Phoebe.
Rocco Can’t Hold It Together — and Charlotte Is Getting Suspicious
Back at Lulu’s house, the emotional weight of the episode shifted entirely to Rocco (Finn Carr). Home from school with no cover story better than “I cut my hand in the kitchen,” Rocco learned from his mother that Jason was arrested — for what he did.
“I can’t let Danny’s dad go to prison for me,” he cried. Lulu reminded him that Jason chose this — that he’s protecting Rocco, Danny, and Dante from the fallout.
Then Charlotte came home from school and started talking about how Jason was hauled away by the WSB, just like they took her father. Rocco couldn’t face her. He turned away to hide his tears — and the guilt that’s eating him alive.
Gio Builds a Bridge, Justine Takes Notes, and Fizz Gets Treats

In lighter business: Gio (Giovanni Mazza), at Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) urging, finally showed up at the PCPD to check on Dante (Dominic Zamprogna). The two shared coffee from a fancy new breakroom machine, and Gio admitted Sonny gave him the push.
Back at Sonny’s, Justine (Justina Machado) arrived with off-the-record questions about Marco’s murder — and doggy treats for Fizz, who apparently loves her now. Sonny denied involvement in Marco’s death and pointed out that Sidwell is blaming him because “he doesn’t want to blame himself.” Justine warned Sonny that he might be called to the station.
The Final Seconds: Joss and Cullum Lock Eyes

With Britt pulled out of the ICU by Lulu, Joss made her move. She sneaked into Cullum’s room to “take care of him” herself — whatever that means.
Only Cullum wasn’t asleep anymore.
He woke up. He saw her standing over him. Their eyes locked.
And the screen went black.
Monday’s spoilers confirm that Joss will need to “cover her tracks,” which means something happened in that room. What she did — or didn’t do — before Cullum woke up will define the direction of this story for weeks. And now Cullum has seen her face, inside his room, standing over his body, with intent she can’t explain away.
Friday’s General Hospital delivered the kind of hour that reminds you why this show has survived for 63 years: a cliffhanger that makes you physically unable to wait until Monday, a scene that makes you cry-laugh, and a kid actor (Finn Carr) who is performing at a level most adults can’t touch.
