Lucas Jones did not just bring Sonny Corinthos another clue. He brought the one name that can split Jenz Sidwell’s whole revenge map in half: Ross Cullum.
The reason this theory has heat is not just that Marco Rios is gone. Lucas already connected the operating-room nightmare to Cullum, the WSB power player whose life Lucas was saving while Marco lost his. That makes Lucas both a witness and the accidental protector of the man Marco never got to face.
That is why Sonny matters. Sidwell has been using Sonny and Laura as pressure targets, and the June 1-5 setup points Lucas into their plan just as Sidwell is expected to be blindsided. If Lucas has finally told Sonny where the trail really leads, the enemy list changes in one conversation.
Sidwell’s Wrong Target Problem
The brutal twist is that Sidwell has spent weeks aiming rage through the wrong doorway. Pascal can look suspicious, Sonny can look useful as a public enemy, and Lucas can look expendable. But Cullum is the name that turns Marco’s case from Sonny’s problem into Sidwell’s betrayal.
GH has not framed this as a clean legal confession or an official file drop. The stronger read comes from the clue trail: Lucas’ deduction, Cullum’s role, Sidwell’s partnership with Cullum, and the current spoiler lane that puts Lucas inside Sonny and Laura’s move against Sidwell.
That is also why the alliance in the screenshot lands. Lucas does not need to forgive Sonny to use him. Sonny does not need to trust Lucas completely to weaponize the truth. Both men have a reason to let Sidwell believe he is still in control until the Marco file points back at his own side.
If Sidwell learns Cullum was the real kіller before he understands how Lucas and Sonny moved the information, Port Charles could get the one reaction he cannot manage: grief pointed inward. That is the payoff fans are waiting for, and it is why this is more than another Sonny versus Sidwell tease.
