From Port Charles to Salem
The highly respected newsletter SoapSteph’s Daytime Dish officially broke the exciting casting news on Monday. Mattsson is joining the incredible cast of Days of our Lives in an intensely guarded, hush-hush role. Because DAYS films a full 10 months ahead of streaming on Peacock, Sofia is already hard at work on the studio lot!
Fans can eagerly expect her highly anticipated debut on their screens in early 2027. Sofia previously teased fans on social media by posting a photo soaking up the Los Angeles sunshine while sporting a gorgeous new brunette look, sparking massive rumors that she was finally back on a television set.
Sasha’s Emotional Exit
General Hospital viewers will vividly remember Sofia’s heart-wrenching final scenes back in July 2025. Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) heroically escorted Sasha and her newborn baby, Daisy, to absolute safety overseas. They eventually arrived at the European home of her father, Robert Scorpio, and Holly Sutton.
Those specific scenes hold a deeply emotional place in the hearts of GH fans, as they featured the legendary Tristan Rogers in his signature role right before he sadly passed away.
Sasha originally fled town to securely protect little Daisy from Willow’s intense manipulation. With Michael Corinthos being the baby’s father, the door always remained slightly open for a return. However, with Mattsson now firmly planted at Days of our Lives, a Sasha return seems highly unlikely anytime soon!
