Robert Gossett is returning as Marshall Ashford, Curtis’s father, while Jequan Jackson is returning as Quinn, the PCU football friend tied to Kai and Trina’s orbit. That alone would make this a standard comings-and-goings note, but the Ashford placement is what gives it teeth.
